My hair and nails are the two things I don’t particularly pay attention to (along with a couple of other things, I guess). But that doesn’t mean I don’t have fun when I do get my hair done or paint my nails!
When we visited the Cruelty Free Shop in Glebe, the little section of Kester Black nail polishes captured my attention. Their pastel colours are lovely and I’m especially enthralled by their beautifully curated Instagram page full of #kesterblackcolour posts.
Kester Black’s Papaya shade is a vibrant, neon orange that was a bit difficult to apply because the formula is quite thick. Now I’m not sure if that’s just because I picked up an older batch, or if it’s the way it’s meant to be. Either way, there’s nothing a steady hand can’t fix when it comes to nail polish!
I find it interesting how this nail polish dried semi-matte, a feat I haven’t seen in any other nail polishes I’ve owned in the past. When the time to take it off, I thought I would be left with damaged nails (I didn’t use a base coat!) as I thought it would dry out my nails the way matte lip products do. But I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it all came off, and there was not a flaky nail in sight!
